Hi, I’m José Carlos Andreu Galán — a security engineer based in Pontevedra. I work in mobile and application security at Applus+ Laboratories, evaluating how apps and systems hold up under attack. Before moving into security I spent years as a mobile developer (iOS and Android), and that builder’s instinct still shapes how I look at things.

This blog is my notebook for technology, science, the internet and the curiosities that catch my attention along the way — from security and software to whatever rabbit hole I’ve fallen into lately. It’s minimalist and built for reading, in the spirit of the classic microsiervos.com.

I’m also an amateur radio enthusiast — you can find me on the air with the callsign EA3HZE.

I write The Side Channel, a newsletter with curated reading on cybersecurity, hacking and the net. You’ll find more of my work on GitHub, and you can reach me at joscandreu@gmail.com.
